7,500 feet on a warm summer day means invigorating challenges and inspirational beauty for you, and everything from hikes to elk to fair-trade coffee and home made pasta for your family and friends. Come to lift your spirits and respect your environment.
Our mission statement:
The Estes Park Marathon provides superior, fun, and challenging running events which encourage healthy lifestyles that benefit youth, family, and community in a spectacular mountain location.
Our USATF certified course takes you on a spirit-soaring tour of the majestic Estes Valley, gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. We also offer a Half Marathon the Optimists 10K and 5K, and a KIDS FUN RUN! in conjunction with YMCA of the Rockies, so we have an event for every member of the family! The KIDS FUN RUN! takes place on Saturday June 14 - see more on the KIDS FUN RUN! on the Race Info / General Info page. This family event will also feature a festival with games, opportunities to learn about our environment and local animals. It will be lots of fun - come and support the kids the day before you race!
Destined to become one of the world's premier high-altitude race events for athletes of all abilities.
Voted Best 2006 Week-end Getaway race by the readers of Colorado Runner magazine!

2006 male winner, Anton Krupicka, who also won the Leadville 100 later that year, said: "Winning the Estes Park Marathon and breaking the course record there gave me a lot of confidence in all of my races the rest of the summer...without a doubt it all started with Estes Park." Come and find out what the Estes Park Marathon can do for you.
It's about competing and it's about contributing. For all races, $10 of your registration fee is tax-deductible and benefits Estes Valley youth programs.
This Father's Day, do something good for your heart and your soul.
