This race gives you an opportunity to have a brief scenic tour of local Estes Park, while experiencing spectacular views along the way. There are short inclines and descents that provide opportunities for challenges and celebrations on the course as well as at the finish! Our 5K race has been extremely popular with high caliber athletes, (Melody Fairchild is the course record holder for Women's 5k!), as well as recreational athletes and walkers. This is a family friendly event - bring your youngsters and friends!

The 5K course starts in front of the Estes Park middle school, heading North and West away from the schools on Manford Avenue, turn left onto Community Drive, then left into and around the Aquatic Center parking lot, and straight onto Graves Avenue. Take a left onto the bike path paralleling Highway 7 heading South; the subtle incline up Highway 7 is challenging but not too long. Turn left onto Community Drive, passing the golf course on your right. After zigzagging through the neighborhood, turn right onto Brodie Avenue. Head down Brodie and turn into school district above the track and field. Follow markings on road through school district back on to Manford Avenue. Turn right onto Community Drive running downhill towards the beautiful Lake Estes. Turn right just before highway 36 onto the bike path. At this point you will be merging with other racers and following the path around Stanley Park up to Brodie Avenue, turning right for a short uphill before entering the track and field at the SE corner. Complete less than one lap of the track counter clockwise and be greeted by enthusiastic crowds at the finish line!
