Our 10K race combines gentle undulations with scenic views of the Continental Divide and the cooler air and tranquility of Lake Estes. We welcome athletes of all abilities and paces for this runner friendly and walker friendly event! Race it or take it easy - either way you'll love the experience on this high mountain 10K.

- Start time for the 10K is 7.45 am Sunday June 13
- Registration IS ALLOWED on race day.
- Age Group Awards for the 10K: 13 & under, 14 - 16, 17 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70+
- 10K awards will be presented at 9.30 am on Sunday June 13 at the infield at the High School track, adjacent to the finish area

- All four races start and end in Estes Park at the public school facilities (elevation 7,550 feet). They take place on paved, professionally certified courses that are challenging and beautiful.
- The course is marked with spray painted directional arrows on the roads and trails , and yellow directional signs when there are turns. In critical spots there will also be course marshals.

The 10K course starts in front of the Estes Park high school, heading North and West away from the schools on Manford Avenue. Turn left onto Community Drive, taking a short detour into the aquatic center parking lot, returning onto Community Drive, and turn left at top of hill onto Brodie Avenue. Run down Brodie Avenue passing the track and field entrance, and enter bike path at left before Fish Creek Road. Follow bike path descending past dog park and through tunnel under highway 36. Turn right onto Lake Estes path heading east around the lake. After a short sharp uphill, turn left on the path onto Mall Road. The path descends into Wapiti Meadows, crossing the Big Thompson River. The path returns alongside the lake at the Marina, heading west. You will experience grand views of the Continental Divide and hearing the water lapping at the shores of Lake Estes. The path takes a 180 degree turn at the west end of the lake near the visitor center. Head east along the south shores of the lake, turning right and heading south under the same tunnel that you used to enter the lake path. Follow the path back up past the dog park and Stanley Park towards the school, district. Follow the path back up to Brodie Avenue, turning right for a short uphill before entering the track and field at the SE corner. Complete less than one lap of the track counter clockwise and be greeted by enthusiastic crowds at the finish line!
All our courses are recognized for being well marked - just follow the yellow 10K signs on the paths and roads.
